We are seeking an experienced and skilled Department Administrator to join our Nursing, Governance and Psychology Department. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the department, supporting the team with a range of tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the department, including answering phones, dealing with queries, and greeting and directing visitors.
  • Manage the department's diary, booking travel and accommodation, and arranging meetings and events.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting papers, take minutes, and chase outstanding actions.
  • Coordinate room bookings, maintain registers, and prepare and submit paperwork.
  • Support the administration team with data collection and monitoring, extracting data from various systems and reporting as required.
  • Provide support for high-level meetings, including preparing detailed minutes and agenda papers.
  • Work using initiative and be a team player, supporting other members of the team with problem-solving and day-to-day tasks.
  • Cover periods of absence for the department administrators.
  • Initiate, record, and retrieve records through databases.
  • Respond to routine requests for information from senior managers and other members of the trust.
