  • Goal 1: Put nature into recovery with abundant, diverse wildlife and natural processes creating wilder land and seascapes where people and nature thrive.
  • Goal 2: Inspire people to take action for nature and climate, resulting in better decision-making for the environment at both the local level and across the four UK nations.
  • Goal 3: Enable nature to play a central and valued role in helping to address local and global problems, such as by helping tackle climate change and supporting wellbeing and education.
About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Development Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nature restoration and a proven track record of developing and delivering large-scale nature restoration projects. The role will involve working closely with our team to develop and implement programmes that drive forward a step change in scale and pace of action for nature's recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programmes that drive forward a step change in scale and pace of action for nature's recovery.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and deliver large-scale nature restoration projects.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, funders, and community groups.
  • Develop and manage budgets, and ensure effective financial management of programmes.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme progress, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong background in nature restoration, with a proven track record of developing and delivering large-scale nature restoration projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and manage budgets, and ensure effective financial management of programmes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of Welsh language and culture, and experience of working in Wales.
