Leadership Opportunity in Older Adult Community Mental Health

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Solihull Older Adult Community Mental Health Team as a Band 7 Team Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management, leadership, and planning of clinical services across the team. They will also contribute to the shaping of our strategic and business plans within these services and input into the Trust's overall direction of travel.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage, develop, and implement standards across a community team-based multi-disciplinary team within a defined catchment area.
  • Ensure care coordination is appropriately undertaken and professional advice and caseload supervision are provided to team members.
  • Optimize standards of patient care via the effective and efficient management of human, financial, and physical resources.

Person Specification
  • Band 6 or above experience of managing team/staff.
  • Mental Health Experience.
  • Older Adult Experience.
  • Community Experience.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Professional registration/qualification.
  • Experience of supervision and staff development.
  • Relevant post-graduate training.
