Job Title: Senior Cost Manager

We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join our rail cost management team, supporting our continued growth and making a positive impact on UK infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and other project stakeholders.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
  • Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Proactively manage cost variance and contract cash flow.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
  • Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
  • Drive improvements in forecast and budget accuracy.
  • Provide commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders.
  • Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.

Requirements:

  • Contract Management (NEC3, Option C preferred)
  • Cost Management
  • Change management and control
  • Valuation
  • Procurement
  • Reporting
  • Collaborative approach and best-for-project attitude
  • Commission management
  • Identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements through the project lifecycle
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters

Qualifications:

  • Ideally Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
  • Ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent
