Job Title: Autism Support Specialist for a Young Pupil in Wimbledon

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Autism Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with non-verbal Autism at a supportive and welcoming Primary School in Wimbledon. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals, and have experience working with children with Autism.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to the pupil, facilitating their learning and development, and assisting them with daily tasks and activities as needed.

Requirements:
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ or equivalent) in Special Educational Needs or related field. Have experience working with children with Autism, preferably in a school setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, staff, and parents. Be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
