We are seeking an ambitious surveying professional to join our team as Assistant Rural Surveyor, covering properties within the East of England. This is a part-time (3 days a week), 6 month fixed term contract starting in October 2024, with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,966.
Key Responsibilities- Provide critical support to regional let estate teams and assist in the provision of advice in the valuation, acquisition and disposal of land and property.
- Assist with the management of lettings and all interests in land and property, applying appropriate technical and consultancy skills.
- Develop and maintain relationships with tenants and other stakeholders, providing insightful advice and considerate management.
- Contribute to the development of sustainable land management strategies and optimize income opportunities.
- Degree qualified, with a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor qualification.
- Practical knowledge of land use, agriculture and residential property management, environmental issues, conservation and sustainable development.
- Experience of rural work, with a strong understanding of the issues communities are facing and the challenges of living and working in the countryside.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work alongside tenants and build good, trusted relationships.
- A passion for nature, climate and the natural environment.
