Senior Merchandising Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Merchandiser to join our Commercial Team at Secret Linen Store. As a key member of our team, you will play a fundamental role in planning and managing our department's key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, margin, and stock.
You will provide strong guidance on business deliverables and be proactive in optimizing our ways of working to achieve our ambitious growth targets. This role works closely with other teams, influencing and shaping business decisions with our Channel Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Product teams.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Product Development: Develop and implement product ranges that meet our sales and margin expectations.
- Financial Target Proposals: Analyze and propose financial targets to directors and other stakeholders across the business.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to ensure maximum efficiencies in all our processes.
- Sales-Driving Strategies: Create and implement sales-driving strategies and processes to drive business growth.
- Forecasting and Analysis: Assess and approve monthly sales and stock forecasts, challenging the team to reduce risks and maximize opportunities.
- Stock Management: Be accountable for achieving all stock holding, intake, and availability targets.
- Pricing Strategies: Develop seasonal and promotional pricing strategies to meet sales and margin expectations.
- Team Management: Manage and develop the Merchandising team, ensuring a collaborative and innovative team environment that is always seeking to improve.
- Supplier Relationships: Build, maintain, and manage strong relationships with our suppliers to negotiate terms, manage timelines, and ensure optimized processes and ways of working.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with all departments across the business to successfully land ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
- Sustainability and Social Responsibility: Apply a social and environmental lens to everything and support our goal to be the most responsibly sourced, B-Corp certified, bed linen brand.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of merchandising experience in fashion or home retail.
- Proven management skills, leading a team.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data insights for strategic decision making.
- Proficiency in merchandising tools and software, e.g., Excel, inventory management systems, e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Critical thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to influence and contribute to shaping our fast-growing business from within.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
