Therapeutic Language Professional

We are seeking an experienced Therapeutic Language Professional to join our team at a specialist secondary school near Guildford. This role involves working with children and young people aged 10-16 years old who have SEMH as their primary area of need, alongside or without additional areas such as sensory differences and SLCN.

Our school provides a supportive environment that fosters respect, academic excellence, and personal growth. As a Therapeutic Language Professional, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering targeted interventions according to Positive Behaviour Support and trauma-informed practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans for students
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of therapies into daily lessons
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to students, parents, and colleagues

Salary and Benefits: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits package including pension scheme, annual leave, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • (Essential) HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT)
  • (Desirable) Experience working with children and young people with SEMH and/or sensory differences
