About the Role

The Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Crisis Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing support to young people and their families who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for young people in crisis, ensuring their needs are met and they receive the necessary support.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective care and support to young people and their families.
  • Assess, interpret, and implement treatment plans for children and young people's conditions, developing and evaluating specialist packages of care.
  • Make informed judgments to improve treatment outcomes for young people and their families, enhancing resilience and recovery and reducing risks to themselves or others.

Requirements

  • Experience in a mental health setting, preferably in a crisis team or similar environment.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including day and night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
