About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Response Vehicle (MHRV) team, you will play a vital role in providing urgent mental health triage and assessment services to individuals in crisis across Leicestershire, Leicester, and Rutland.

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will work autonomously, using your excellent clinical skills to complete comprehensive mental state examinations, assess patient safety and risk, and develop effective risk management plans. You will also have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare support workers, to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide urgent mental health triage and assessment services to individuals in crisis
  • Complete comprehensive mental state examinations and assess patient safety and risk
  • Develop effective risk management plans and document clearly
  • Work autonomously, using your clinical skills and judgment to make decisions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients
