As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for delivering technical support to end users, IT departments, and third-party hardware suppliers. You will also support Microsoft software, SQL, and Windows Server, including SQL 2005 and above, Windows Server 2008 and above, and Exchange server 2007 and above.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical support to end users, IT departments, and third-party hardware suppliers.
  • Support Microsoft software, SQL, and Windows Server, including SQL 2005 and above, Windows Server 2008 and above, and Exchange server 2007 and above.
  • Work with server and desktop hardware, general networking, and virtualisation technologies.
  • Travel to customer sites for support duties, consultancy, and occasional disaster recovery.


Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:
  • A good working knowledge of server and desktop hardware.
  • In-depth knowledge of general networking, including fixed WAN links, ADSL, VPN, LAN, and associated hardware.
  • Working knowledge of virtualisation (VMware) and SAN technologies.
  • Pre-sales technical consultancy experience and proposal writing is advantageous.
  • Microsoft SQL programming, VB Scripting (Macros), and VB6 or VB .Net knowledge is beneficial.


Qualifications and Benefits:
We are looking for candidates with Microsoft Certifications, although this is not essential. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer quarterly bonuses, flexible working arrangements, and standard working hours with occasional overtime, unsocial hours, and weekends with salary allowances. Our estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
