Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Store Manager and the store teams for the execution of all operational directives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead by example and motivate team members to achieve exceptional customer experiences and sales results.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales, expense, and cost management, while ensuring optimal store presentation and protection of company assets.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members to improve their skills and performance.
- Ensure the execution of PartSource visual compliance standards, store maintenance, and pricing standards.
- Develop and lead recruiting and hiring strategies for the store, ensuring a complete and effective team.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, shrinkage, and audit standards.
- Implement and maintain efficient store weekly scheduling for sales and support functions.
- Support the Store Manager in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement customer service strategies to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Coach and develop store and management team members through setting expectations, communication, coaching, feedback, and ongoing support.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a retail environment, with at least 6 months in a leadership role.
- Fundamental computer skills and knowledge of automotive parts and aftermarket industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive operating systems, including point of sale.
- Ability to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
