Senior Town Planner - Strategic Development

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

About the Job:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. In this senior role, you will be responsible for leading the development of planning strategies for our portfolio sites and managing stakeholder relationships to achieve successful site delivery.

Key responsibilities will include preparing planning applications, promoting land through Local Plans, and coordinating with local authorities, consultants, and landowners to ensure smooth planning processes.

  • Develop and implement planning strategies for portfolio sites
  • Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications for strategic land sites
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to achieve successful site delivery
  • Conduct research and provide analysis to support the strategic land planning process

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of planning experience in housing (within housebuilding, consultancy, land promotion, or local authority)
  • A degree accredited by the RTPI (or equivalent) in planning or a related field within the built environment
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering successful planning projects
