Job Title: Deaf Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to work with us in Manchester as a Deaf Health Support Specialist. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality health and social care support to Deaf individuals.

In this position, you will work closely with clients to develop supportive relationships, providing emotional support, and ensuring a professional service is maintained. To be successful, you must have the ability to communicate in British Sign Language, knowledge of the deaf community and mental health issues, and relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or the care certificate. A minimum of Level 2 British Sign Language is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop personalized plans for clients
  • Support clients in independent skills
  • Provide emotional support
  • Maintain a professional service

The salary for this role is approximately £26,000 per year, based on 16 hours of work per week at £13.50 per hour. We offer a range of benefits, including 25 days holiday per year, auto-enrolled pension scheme, paid study leave, expenses policy, life assurance scheme, and fully funded BSL training.
