Deaf Education Specialist

The role of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant at Prospero Teaching involves supporting primary students in a specialist Sensory Support Unit in Levenshulme.
You will be working with deaf children supported by the unit, requiring a basic level of sign language. The ideal candidate has experience working with young people and an understanding of the early years curriculum.
Key responsibilities include working with two pupils who are deaf and attending the school nursery each afternoon, preparing plans prepared by the teacher to support these students on your own.
This temporary full-time position comes with a competitive rate of pay, £97 per day, and requires you to hold an enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK, and provide professional references covering the last 2 years.
Possessing a degree in English, high grades in English & Maths at GCSE level, and an A level in English Literature or Language are also essential requirements for this role.
