Job Description

We are seeking a Deaf Mental Health Expert to join our team at Spencer Clarke Group Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a specialist mental health service for men who are deaf and have complex communication needs.

The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of evidence-based psychological care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, risk assessments, and service development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CLINICAL LEADERSHIP: Oversee the delivery of evidence-based psychological care, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated services.
  • TEAM SUPERVISION: Provide supervision, mentoring, and training to Psychologists and Assistants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Manage administrative tasks related to service user records, referrals, and other relevant documentation.

Requirements:

  • QUALIFICATIONS: HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist and Chartered status with the British Psychological Society.
  • EDUCATION: A Doctorate in Applied Psychology (e.g., Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling) from a recognised training body.
  • EXPERTISE: Demonstrated expertise in psychological assessments, formulation, and therapeutic interventions.
  • EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of trauma-informed care and experience working with complex needs.

Salary: £62,500 per annum, dependent on experience. Based in Oldham, this role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
