We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maxillofacial Consultant to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our Maxillofacial team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in microvascular on-call rotas and work within your specialist area in the management of oncology and reconstruction.
- Develop your special interest in the management of oncology with reconstruction and work closely with the established oncology and reconstruction team.
- Supervise and train junior medical staff, including the observance of local employment and human resource policies and procedures.
- Participate in service development and business planning, collaborating with other Consultants in the department, the Clinical Management Group, and local GPs and commissioners.
- Contribute to teaching, examination, and accreditation duties, as well as participating in medical audit and the Trust's Clinical Governance processes.
- Full GMC and GDC registration.
- MB BS or equivalent qualification.
- Current ATLS certificate.
- MRCP/MRCS or equivalent qualification.
- Fully trained in the field of Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Trained in Head & Neck Surgery.
- Experience in leading teams and ability to work effectively as part of a Multidisciplinary Team.
