Business Growth and Development Executive

Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Biffa Group as a Business Development Executive and contribute to our mission of improving lives by reducing waste and promoting sustainability.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and maintaining a pipeline of high-value new business opportunities to deliver profitable growth for our Specialist Services division.
You will be a senior business development professional with expertise in tailoring and developing total waste management solutions for the UK manufacturing sector.
The role requires a solutions-oriented, agile commercial lead who is focused on creating value for clients. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a comparable business development role, with a proven sales track record, selling high-value contracted services (£500K+/annum). Experience in developing and implementing new business services, waste industry knowledge, and customer relationship building experience are also essential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, and maintain a pipeline of high-value new business opportunities.
- Tailor and develop total waste management solutions for the UK manufacturing sector.
- Distil business strategy into sector targeting.
- Effective pipeline and CRM management.
- Create and present tailored commercial offerings to potential clients.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a comparable business development role.
- Agile solutions-focused skillset.
- Experience in developing and implementing new business services.
- Waste industry knowledge.
- Proven sales track record, selling high-value contracted services (£500K+/annum).
- Customer relationship building experience.
