Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing expert care and guidance to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care, acting as a role model for nursing practice across the specialty and Trust.

Act as a source of advice and knowledge for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Work within the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of optimal care throughout all aspects of the patient's care pathway and in all clinical settings.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse (valid with NMC)
  • To have completed the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
  • Evidence of academic achievement or working towards Degree level of study.
  • Evidence of postgraduate study relevant to role or must be willing to work towards

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant post-registration experience
  • Evidence of management experience
  • Evidence of personal and professional development
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • An understanding of patient flow in a busy acute area

  • Audit / Research
  • Experience in an enhanced care area.
