Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Stroke Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Stroke Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Stroke Pathway.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the leadership and delivery of high-quality patient care within the Hyper Acute Stroke unit.
  • Provide clinical expertise in supporting the delivery of high standards of nursing care for patients within the Stroke pathway.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-professional team to develop and maintain a quality service for patients within the speciality.
  • Provide expert clinical nursing, education, and advice in all aspects of the acute stroke.
  • Facilitate an improvement in the quality of health and outcome of care to this client group.

Person Specification

  • Relevant post-registration experience at Band 5 or above.
  • Highly specialist knowledge in Stroke nursing, underpinned by theory and experience.
  • Experience of multi-professional working.
  • Experience of teaching.
