Oncology and Haematology Rehabilitation Assistant

The NHS is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Therapy Assistant to join the Oncology & Haematology Therapy Team at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide therapeutic interventions to patients.
This role offers an ideal opportunity for career progression and development in a specialist area. You will support the multidisciplinary team, promoting patient goals and facilitating hospital discharges. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining rehabilitation equipment, ordering supplies, and communicating with vendors.
Main Duties:
- To work with the Therapy Team to plan and deliver programmes of therapeutic activity for patients.
- To promote patient goals, enabling early and safe discharge from hospital.
- To implement and evaluate basic therapy interventions for patients.
- To maintain rehabilitation equipment, ensuring it is clean and functional.
