Job Description:
As a Cancer Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive clinical pharmacy and medicine management service to oncology patients. This will involve ensuring a consistent level of service in accordance with GenesisCare policies, providing expert advice on pharmaceutical matters in oncology, and providing clinical checking of chemo and final release to nursing staff. You will also be responsible for dispensing medicines and managing pharmaceutical stock, as well as participating in clinical audit and/or practice research. In addition, you will need to have experience in oncology and haematology, and in a hospital environment. You should be able to plan and organise straightforward tasks and programmes, and communicate clearly with a range of people at differing levels across the hospital. You will also need to have one year's preregistration training, a further post-grad qualification in clinical pharmacy, and be a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
