About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Team Leader to join our maintenance team at Avara Foods. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our hatchery machinery, including planning maintenance and reactive repairs.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience leading or managing a team in a manufacturing or agricultural environment.
- Ability to bring a team together with open communication, teamwork, and a positive work culture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Experience with equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in the agricultural or food industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
- Implement and maintain engineering best practices and processes across site.
- Manage, motivate, and mentor a team of engineers.
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring faults.
- Coordinate with external service providers for equipment servicing and maintenance.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly rate of £18.88, paid weekly.
- A £25 call-out payment for out-of-hours work.
- 28 days' holiday allowance, increasing by 1 day per year to a maximum of 33 days.

Working Hours:
You will work 45 hours per week on a 2-week rota, with varying shifts to ensure the smooth operation of our hatchery machinery.
