About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Team Leader to join our maintenance team at Avara Foods. As a key player in ensuring the smooth running of Hatchery machinery, you will be responsible for planning maintenance and reactive repairs, as well as continually looking for improvements in future processes.

Working Hours:

You will be working 45 hours per week on a 2-week rota.

Week 1: Monday – Friday 06:00 – 15:30

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 06:30 – 15:30

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of engineering projects.
  • Implementing and maintaining engineering best practices and processes across site.
  • Managing, motivating and mentoring a team of Engineers.
  • Improving equipment reliability, stamping out recurring faults.
  • Responsibility for equipment servicing and maintenance with external service providers.
  • Supporting the back up call out rota.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience leading or managing a team.
  • Ability to bring a team together with open communication, teamwork and a positive work culture.
  • Have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or qualifications at level 3 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within the agricultural or food industry would be beneficial.
