About the Role

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Doctor in Community Paediatrics to join our team. As a key member of our Community Paediatric team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality community and neurodisability clinics
  • Conduct ADHD assessments and social communication assessments
  • Manage administrative duties, including office space and secretarial support
  • Promote a multi-disciplinary team approach to care within community paediatrics and the wider health/education/social care teams
  • Support the development of colleagues through the CESR programme
  • Contribute to the development of the Community Paediatric Department, including the creation of new roles and responsibilities

Person Specification

  • Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council
  • Professional values and behaviours, skills and knowledge underpinning Trust values
  • Leadership and team working

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years medical work experience, including 6 years in a relevant specialty
  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification
  • Training relevant to any subspecialty interest
