About the Role:
We are representing a leading healthcare provider in search of an experienced and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join their Male PICU service at a hospital in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide expert psychiatric care in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and contributing to service development.
Responsibilities:
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients, leading and managing patient treatment within the Male PICU service.
- Providing expert psychiatric assessments and treatment for a diverse patient population, including those with complex mental health needs.
- Leading patient care within your specialty, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, and fostering a recovery-oriented approach.
- Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff, to develop holistic, person-centred care plans.
Requirements:
Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry. Extensive experience in Forensic Psychiatry, particularly in inpatient settings with patients presenting complex mental health conditions.
A CCST or CCT (or equivalent) in psychiatry, with proven experience in leading clinical teams and providing high-quality care.
The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate evidence-based practices into operational solutions.
