About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Analyst to join our team at Co-operatives UK. As a key member of our Policy Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies that support the growth and development of co-operatives across the UK.

Your primary responsibility will be to produce high-quality evidence-based policy analysis to inform our policy-making process. This will involve conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting insights to stakeholders. You will also work closely with local policymakers and co-operative stakeholders to ensure that their needs and priorities are taken into account in our policy development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Policy Analysis
  • Conduct research and analysis on best practices and emerging issues in co-operative development and growth.
  • Produce evidence-based policy recommendations to support local co-operative growth.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work with local policymakers and co-operative stakeholders to ensure their needs and priorities are taken into account in our policy development.
  • Facilitate co-productive policy design and development processes.
Policy Implementation
  • Support local policymakers in partner areas to turn policy ambition into impactful interventions and practice.
  • Provide advice and guidance to local policymakers and practitioners on best practice approaches to developing interventions that support co-operative growth.
