About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Tenon FM. As a Cleaning Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a better day, every day by maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out general cleaning duties as instructed within the premises, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Follow the custody cleaning ROTA in line with the contract specification, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
  • Respond to body spill cleans that are 18 inches or smaller, following infection prevention control training and protocols.
  • Conduct routine cleaning of trap cells and report any issues related to client non-compliance with flush-through procedures.
  • Follow the instruction of the custody sergeant in case of emergency cleaning of cells, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all individuals.
  • Have a thorough understanding of site Health and Safety information, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Read, understand, and abide by specific site rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to site security rules and procedures, including signing in and out of keys during every shift, maintaining the confidentiality and security of all areas.
  • Handle and use any chemical or solution only in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, and after reading and fully understanding the appropriate COSHH sheets.
  • Respond positively to any reasonable instruction from a Manager or the client, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach to your work.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, and dry where applicable and directed, ensuring that all consumables are replenished and stock levels maintained.
  • Apply appropriate cleaning agents as per type of floor, condition, and manufacturers' recommendations, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
  • Empty general and recycle waste bins, replacing bin liners and removing waste to designated locations, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain mirrors and glass to be smear-free, ensuring that all areas are clean and presentable.
  • Dust and clean all other areas where accessible, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Report faults, breakages, accidents, and or cleaning requirements that are not to standard, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that cleaning cupboards are clean and tidy, and equipment is clean and serviceable at all times, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
  • Action any easily remedied cleaning tasks outside of your working area, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach to your work.
