We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Tenon FM. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our clients' premises.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out general cleaning duties as instructed within the premises, adhering to our high standards of quality and safety.
- Follow the custody cleaning ROTA in line with the contract specification, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
- Carry out body spill cleans that are 18 inches or smaller, in line with infection prevention control training, and report any issues to the relevant authorities.
- Conduct routine cleaning of trap cells and report any issues related to client non-compliance with flush-through procedures.
- Follow the instruction of the custody sergeant in case of emergency cleaning of cells, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
- Have a thorough understanding of site Health and Safety information, including COSHH sheets and manufacturer's instructions for chemical use.
- Read, understand, and abide by specific site rules and regulations, adhering to our company's values and policies.
- Adhere to site security rules and procedures, including signing in and out of keys during every shift.
- Handle and use any chemical or solution only in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, and after reading and fully understanding the appropriate COSHH sheets.
- Respond positively to any reasonable instruction from a Manager or the client, demonstrating a proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and dry where applicable and directed, ensuring that all consumables are replenished and stock levels maintained.
- Apply appropriate cleaning agents as per type of floor, condition, and manufacturers' recommendations, adhering to our company's quality standards.
- Empty and replace general and recycle waste bins, and remove waste to designated locations, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
- Mirrors and glass to be smear-free, and all other areas where accessible to be dry-dusted, cleaned as appropriate, and directed.
- Periodic tasks or other tasks as directed by your line manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Report faults, breakages, accidents, and or cleaning requirements that are not to standard, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure cleaning cupboards are clean and tidy, and equipment is clean and serviceable at all times, maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
- Action any easily remedied cleaning tasks outside of your working area, demonstrating a proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Comply with safe working practices, including making appropriate use of warning signage, wearing appropriate footwear and other PPE, and ensuring that assigned duties are carried out in a safe manner.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation is adhered to, particularly the placing of warning signs when attempting any cleaning task that may involve risk to others.
- Complete Company administration in a timely and effective manner, adhering to our company's policies and procedures.
- Attend meetings and other Company activities as required, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Ensure that all company property is kept safe and in good condition, maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
- Any other duty reasonably required by the Company, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
