About the Role:

Tenon FM is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cleaning and Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers have a better day, every day by maintaining a clean, safe, and serviceable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general cleaning duties as instructed within designated premises, adhering to changing schedules and priorities.
  • Follow custody cleaning ROTA in line with contract specifications and ensure compliance with infection prevention control training.
  • Perform body spill cleans, routine cleaning of trap cells, and report any issues related to client non-compliance.
  • Respond promptly to emergency cleaning instructions from custody sergeants and maintain a thorough understanding of site Health and Safety information.
  • Adhere to site security rules and procedures, including signing in and out of keys during every shift.
  • Handle and use chemicals and solutions in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and COSHH sheets.
  • Respond positively to reasonable instructions from managers or clients and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, and dry floors as directed, ensuring consumables are replenished and stock levels are maintained.
  • Apply cleaning agents as per floor type, condition, and manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Empty and replace waste bins, recycle waste, and maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Maintain mirrors and glass surfaces free of smudges and streaks.
  • Dust and clean accessible areas, including periodic tasks and other duties as directed by line managers.
  • Report faults, breakages, accidents, and cleaning requirements not meeting standards.
  • Ensure cleaning cupboards are clean and tidy, and equipment is clean and serviceable at all times.
  • Action easily remedied cleaning tasks outside of working areas, promoting a culture of cleanliness and responsibility.
  • Comply with safe working practices, including warning signage, appropriate footwear, and PPE.
  • Ensure assigned duties are carried out in a safe manner, adhering to Health and Safety legislation and placing warning signs when necessary.
  • Complete Company administration in a timely and effective manner.
  • Attend meetings and other Company activities as required.
  • Ensure all company property is kept safe and in good condition.
