Key Responsibilities- Carry out general cleaning duties as instructed within the premises, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Follow the custody cleaning ROTA in line with the contract specification to ensure efficient and effective cleaning practices.
- Respond to body spill cleans and other emergency situations in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct routine cleaning of trap cells and report any issues related to client non-compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the custody sergeant to ensure effective emergency cleaning procedures are in place.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of site Health and Safety information and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Read, understand, and abide by specific site rules and regulations, including security protocols.
- Handle and use chemicals and solutions in accordance with manufacturer instructions and COSHH guidelines.
- Respond positively to reasonable instructions from managers or clients.
- Perform sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and drying tasks as directed, ensuring all consumables are replenished and stock levels are maintained.
- Apply cleaning agents as per floor type, condition, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Empty and replace waste bins, and remove waste to designated locations.
- Maintain mirrors and glass surfaces in a smear-free condition.
- Dust and clean other areas as directed, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
- Report faults, breakages, accidents, and cleaning requirements that do not meet standards.
- Ensure cleaning cupboards are clean and tidy, and equipment is clean and serviceable at all times.
- Action easily remedied cleaning tasks outside of your working area, promoting a culture of teamwork and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent time-keeping skills and ability to work independently.
- Positive, professional, and 'can-do' attitude, with a friendly and helpful approach to customers.
- Effective time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Able to work alone and within a team, with good communication skills.
