About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Pension Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head of Pensions in the oversight and control of the Group's pension schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Day-to-Day Pension Management: Review the administration of funds in conjunction with Trustees and ensure that schemes operate effectively and meet performance, quality, and customer care targets.
- Develop Pensions Policies: Create and implement pensions policies and pension and benefits packages that meet the company's needs.
- Review Fund Strategy: Discuss and agree fund strategy and structure with the company board, investment managers, and other advisers.
- Monitor Pension Scheme Deficits: Calculate the performance and value of funds and monitor pension scheme deficits to ensure the optimum performance of the fund.
- Deal with Complex Pension Claims: Handle complex pension claims and ensure that they are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop Communication Strategies: Create communication strategies to promote the benefits of pension schemes to employees.
- Manage Relationships: Manage the relationship between the employer and trustees, and meet with and encourage communication between actuaries, fund managers, solicitors, and consultants.
- Advise on Financial Issues: Advise the company on new and emerging financial issues related to pension schemes.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare relevant reports on pension scheme performance and deficits.
Requirements:
- Extensive Experience: Extensive experience working within pension management, including developing pensions policies and redesigning pension and benefits packages.
- Knowledge of Legal and Regulatory Frameworks: Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks related to pension schemes.
- Experience Reviewing Fund Strategies: Experience reviewing, discussing, and agreeing on fund strategies and structure with relevant stakeholders.
- Experience Dealing with Complex Pension Claims: Experience dealing with complex pension claims and advising on financial issues.
- Experience Monitoring Pension Scheme Deficits: Experience monitoring pension scheme deficits and preparing relevant reports.
