We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to join our team at Addition. Our company is a leading provider of pet and horse supplies, offering a wide range of products, including medications, food, toys, and equipment. We provide top brands and our own line, ensuring excellent value and service for our customers.

Over the years, we have grown significantly, becoming a trusted name in veterinary supplies. We now employ over 100 staff members and serve thousands of customers each month, both domestically and internationally.

**What You Can Expect**

  • Location - Bedford (Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite)
  • Salary - £30,000 - £35,000
  • Industry - Retail and Wholesale

**Key Responsibilities as a Procurement Specialist**

  • Conduct market and pricing reviews to ensure optimal product pricing and availability.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to category performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze complex data sets to inform procurement decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and execute a category strategy for the procurement area to drive business results.

**Core Experience, Qualifications, and Skills**

  • At least 2-5 years' experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a related field.
  • Strong commercial experience with budget delivery and managing multiple KPIs.
  • Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage supplier relationships.
  • Proven experience analyzing complex data sets to inform business decisions.
  • Able to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with retail software and online retail platforms is a plus.
