Aquatic Animal Care Specialist

Job Overview
The Francis Crick Institute is seeking an Aquatics Technician to join its Biological Research Facility. This role will involve performing daily husbandry, animal welfare checks, and maintaining records using Microsoft Excel and ARMIS database.
Salary and Benefits
The starting salary for this position is £25,755 per year, with benefits subject to skills and experience. After one year, the salary rises to £29,500 upon completion of the Institute of Animal Technology Level 2 diploma.

- Simple life support maintenance
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in an animal care setting, strong interpersonal skills, a desire to learn, and attention to detail.
This role involves teamwork, daily animal observation, and routine scientist interactions. The successful candidate will be required to work in the Aquatics unit and will have opportunities to cross-train in frogs and guppy rooms once probation has been passed.
