Aquatic Technician Position - Research Support at the Francis Crick Institute

We are currently looking for an experienced Aquatics Technician to join our team at the Francis Crick Institute in London, England. This role involves working in the Aquatics unit, performing daily husbandry tasks, animal welfare checks, and maintaining records using Microsoft Excel and ARMIS database.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an aquarium, zoo, or laboratory setting, preferably with freshwater fish husbandry (zebrafish Danio rerio, Xenopus laevis, and/or livebearer (guppy) husbandry).

You will work closely with scientists to ensure the production of new generations of zebrafish while providing excellent customer service. Opportunities for cross-training in frogs and guppy rooms will be available once probation has been passed.

This salaried position comes with a starting salary of £25,755 per annum, with benefits subject to skills and experience. You will work 36 hours/week, including weekend and bank holiday working duties on a rota basis.
