Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance misuse and alcohol addiction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Recovery Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing proactive engagement support and thorough assessments of individual need to maximize the likelihood of positive change occurring.
  • Maintaining regular contact with service users, offering advice, information, and psycho-social interventions.
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans to achieve treatment goals.
  • Working closely with clinical staff around prescribing needs and partner agencies.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of substance and alcohol misuse, as well as the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work dynamically on a one-to-one and group basis. Experience in health and social care is desirable, but not essential. We value individuals with lived experience and those who are passionate about supporting others.
