About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Category Manager to join our team at Polypipe Building Products. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for driving revenue and profitability in the Above Ground Plumbing market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category management strategies to maximize revenue and profit growth in the Above Ground Plumbing market.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform business decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product innovation strategies.
  • Manage the product life cycle, from conception to withdrawal, ensuring successful product placement in both B2B and B2C markets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to ensure Polypipe Building Products remains competitive.
  • Develop and maintain pricing and margin policies to optimize revenue and profit.
  • Provide sales support and training to ensure effective product placement and sales growth.
  • Manage and track budget initiatives to ensure successful execution of business plans.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in category management or product management, preferably in the construction products sector.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data feeds.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and distribution channels.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop business plans that maximize revenue and profit.
  • Passion for quality and a track record of continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
