Role Overview:
The position of Category Manager is pivotal in steering marketing and sales strategies that drive profitable growth within the Above Ground Plumbing sector. This role is essential for enhancing revenue streams and ensuring product alignment with market demands.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the entire Above Ground Plumbing product line, ensuring optimal revenue generation and profitability through strategic product placement in both B2B and B2C markets.
2. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to derive actionable insights.
3. Develop and manage the Above Ground Plumbing business plan, aligning it with the overarching business strategy.
4. Manage the product life cycle from inception to discontinuation, including devising exit strategies for underperforming products.
5. Continuously assess market dynamics, including size, share, and regulatory changes, to adapt strategies accordingly.
6. Spearhead product innovation initiatives in response to market trends and demands.
7. Facilitate the introduction of new products, guiding them through to successful commercialization.
8. Ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded to maximize revenue and profitability within the category.
9. Administer product SKU management and related administrative tasks.
10. Formulate and uphold pricing and margin strategies for Above Ground Plumbing products.

Sales Support:
Provide comprehensive sales support aimed at enhancing revenue and profit, including the creation of technical documentation, training resources, and promotional materials.

Forecasting and Budget Management:
Analyze product demand trends to inform forecasts and manage budget initiatives effectively.

Qualifications:
- A degree in marketing or business studies is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in category or product management within the construction products industry.
- Familiarity with marketing, sales, or installation of plumbing products is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities to develop business plans that maximize profitability.
- Excellent analytical skills coupled with a robust commercial mindset.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with senior management and distribution partners.
- Proficient in interpreting complex data to identify trends and performance shifts.
- A passion for quality and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Working Conditions:
This role offers a standard Monday to Friday schedule with core hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, along with a competitive salary, company car, bonus structure, and a comprehensive benefits package including holiday entitlement, pension contributions, and health initiatives.
