Role Overview:
The primary focus of this position is to spearhead category management, marketing, and sales strategies that drive profitable revenue growth within the Above Ground Plumbing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the complete Above Ground Plumbing product portfolio, ensuring effective revenue generation and profitability through strategic product placement in both B2B and B2C markets.
2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to derive actionable market insights.
3. Develop and maintain the Above Ground Plumbing business plan aligned with the overall business strategy.
4. Manage the product life cycle from inception to discontinuation, including the formulation of exit strategies for underperforming or obsolete products.
5. Continuously assess market dynamics, including size, share, and regulatory changes, while monitoring competitor activities.
6. Drive market-responsive product innovation and new product development strategies that align with evolving market demands.
7. Facilitate the successful introduction of new products through to commercialization.
8. Ensure customer needs and expectations are met to optimize revenue and profitability within the category.
9. Provide comprehensive product SKU management and administrative support.
10. Establish and uphold pricing and margin policies for Above Ground Plumbing products.
11. Offer sales support to enhance revenue and profit growth, including the creation of technical manuals, training materials, and presentations.
12. Forecast product demand trends accurately.
13. Manage and monitor budget initiatives effectively.
Skills & Requirements:
- A degree in marketing or business studies is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in category or product management within the construction products industry.
- Familiarity with marketing, selling, or installing Above Ground Plumbing products is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities to develop business plans that maximize revenue and ROI.
- Excellent analytical skills coupled with robust commercial acumen.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with senior management and distribution channels.
- Proficient in interpreting complex data to identify trends and performance shifts.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- A commitment to quality and a history of driving continuous improvement.
- Comprehensive understanding of market dynamics.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home for short periods.
