About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to join our team at Howden. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in promoting our diverse range of insurance products and supporting our Account Brokers by introducing new clients to our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and external agencies to identify and develop potential client sources.
  • Proposal Management: Communicate effectively with clients to secure commitment for proposal forms and record client interactions using our systems.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop potential client sources, update the company's database with accurate, current information from role activities, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to achieve business objectives and undertake additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Proven Sales Experience: Proven sales experience with the ability to meet targets and a strong understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and update database accurately, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage workload and plan effectively, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
