Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Orion Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractors, services, and work allocation for medium-sized contractor projects in Inverness.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management of subcontractors, services, and work allocation.
  • Develop and implement effective project cost control strategies.
  • Identify potential risks and cost variations, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Value work and arrange payments with clients and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with site managers, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct cost analyses for ongoing repair and maintenance work.
  • Provide expert advice on outstanding contractual claims.

Requirements:
  • Possession of a UK driving license.
  • Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in construction.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Accountability, Discipline, Consistency, Focus.

Salary and Benefits:

£50,000 - £70,000 per annum, plus benefits package including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement.
