We are seeking a Fire Safety Specialist to join our Transformation Unit at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital Site.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring fire safety across our Trust. As a Fire Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for all matters regarding fire safety and the training of personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the Trust remains compliant with current fire safety regulations, guidelines, and legislation.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation and bring these to the attention of the Trust's Management.
- Conduct surveys of fire safety installations and research new developments in fire technology to achieve improvements.
- Attend training courses and seminars to maintain personal knowledge of fire safety.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff throughout the Trust.
- Science or engineering-based education to degree level or equivalent, or practical experience of fire safety in a hospital environment.
- Membership of a professional organization such as the Institute of Fire Engineers.
- Health & Safety qualified.
- Corporate membership of a professional organization.
- Qualified Fire Brigade inspecting Officer.
We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position, and we welcome applications from candidates who are passionate about fire safety.
