Workplace Health Promotion and Engagement Specialist

About the Role
This exciting new position requires a skilled professional to develop and implement Workplace Wellbeing initiatives and sporting events/physical activity programs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Essex Working Well Manager and Workplace Health Event Outreach Coordinator to drive the day-to-day running of the business parks program, organize events, and promote the Working Well offer and engagement across Essex.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Working Well Manager to ensure efficient allocation of resources using an asset-based approach.
- Support the Working Well Manager and Workplace Health Events Outreach Coordinator to map and identify key businesses and localities across Essex and capture insight about their workplace wellbeing needs.
- Support the ongoing calendar of Workplace Wellbeing Events and setting up sporting events/physical activity initiatives with partner organizations to promote and increase access to Working Well, Essex Wellbeing Service, and other partner services.
- Promote Essex Working Well and attend workplace networking events.
- Develop communications to aid promotion and strengthen the Essex Working Well presence on social media and with multi-disciplinary partners.
- Provide input and support to other team members to promote the service and evaluate Working Well programs, events, and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate workflow data to ensure relevant evidence and information is captured for effective reporting outcomes for Essex Working Well and wider Essex Wellbeing Service.
- Ensure appropriate health and safety protocols are followed for sporting or physical activity events.
Requirements
- Degree/NVQ L6 or demonstrable experience in public health/health improvement/behaviour change/workplace health/business project management/community development.
- Experience of event planning and management, including sports, and managing multiple caseloads/multi-agency working, confident delivering presentations at networking or business meetings.
- Comms and marketing experience, including social media.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, build good relationships with customers, and have a solution-focused attitude.
- Demonstrable understanding of health inequalities and public health issues affecting the local community.
- Demonstrable experience of a wide range of applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel throughout Essex. Car owner/driver and ability to drive the Provide CIC Mobile Outreach vehicles.
