Job Overview

This role involves providing speech and language therapy services to individuals in three hospitals, each with a distinct focus on recovery and enabling patients to live fulfilling lives.

The first hospital is a low secure unit for adult males with learning disabilities and complex care needs, including Autism and Mental Health Needs. The second hospital provides rehabilitation and recovery services to males with mental health needs, developmental needs, personality disorders, Autism, and co-morbidities. The third hospital supports males with severe and enduring mental health conditions and learning disabilities.

The Speech and Language Therapist will manage and coordinate individual treatment plans, ensuring the implementation of effective speech and language therapy services. This includes receiving referrals, undertaking assessments, planning interventions, maintaining accurate records, and developing close working relationships with colleagues within the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate individual treatment plans for speech and language therapy services.
  • Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertake assessments, plan and deliver interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation/progression.
  • Maintain and develop close working relationships with colleagues within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Comply with statutory regulations and quality standards.
Requirements and Benefits
