About the Role

As a Trade Surveillance Systems Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading a global team of analysts in the critical task of tuning and reviewing trade surveillance models. Your role will focus on enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of these systems through meticulous model tuning, back-testing, and staying abreast of the latest in regulatory changes, trading strategies, and market structures. Your leadership will ensure our surveillance systems are optimized, reducing the risk of performance issues and ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement trade surveillance models to detect and prevent market abuse
Lead a global team of analysts in the tuning and reviewing of trade surveillance models
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize areas for improvement in trade surveillance systems
Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, trading strategies, and market structures to ensure compliance and accuracy

About the Team

You will be part of the Risk Management Group, an independent and centralized function responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring, and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
