About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Trade Counter Sales Assistant and Driver. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets, and ensuring the smooth operation of our trade counter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Sales and Operations: Achieve sales targets by confidently communicating product knowledge to customers, and ensuring the efficient operation of the trade counter.
  • Logistics and Delivery: Safely load and deliver products to customers via our 3.5 tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Branch Support: Assist the Branch Manager with actions and activities, ensuring the branch operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Customer Focus: Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and achieving business targets.
  • Commercial Awareness: A commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins, while ensuring customers are satisfied.
  • Organisational Skills: Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and use your own initiative.
  • Technical Skills: Confident IT user, with experience of MS Office and industry-standard software, such as SAP.
  • Driving and Logistics: A full and valid driving license is essential, and a FLT license could be a distinct advantage.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: £26,698 basic salary per year, plus 10% Zone Allowance - Totalling £29,368 per year.
  • Monthly Bonus Scheme: An excellent monthly bonus scheme, which added to your salary would be up to £32,968 per year.
