Workforce Administration Manager Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Workforce Administration Manager to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role in our workforce administration function.

Main Responsibilities
  1. To lead the completion of pre-employment and ID checks for medical staff, ensuring adherence to Trust policy and procedures.
  2. Manage the return of documentation related to these checks using relevant systems.
  3. To coordinate visa applications for medical staff as required, and ensure that personal details and leaver details are accurately recorded.
  4. Ensure that all new doctors have a functional electronic staff (payroll) record.
  5. To handle the administration of confirmation of employment letters, bank letters, and lettings references.
  6. Contribute to the accurate recording of absence for medical staff.
  7. Perform filing and archiving tasks for confidential documentation.
  8. Provide guidance on terms and conditions of service to staff members, utilizing tact, diplomacy, and persuasive skills when necessary.
  9. Support the coordination of shadowing for foundation year 1 trainees arriving in August.
  10. Provide administrative cover for Medical Workforce Officers during their absences.
  11. Liaise with the Postgraduate Education Department and NHS England to facilitate junior doctor recruitment and appointment processes.

The salary for this position is approximately £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, based on experience.
