Job Summary

We are seeking a Claims Governance Manager to play a key part in our success and join us on this exciting motoring journey. As a Claims Governance Manager, you will lead the oversight of our claims governance, ensuring compliance and guiding teams in motor and household claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Craft and execute an innovative audit program that encompasses the end-to-end Claim handling process, including First Notice of Loss (FNOL), Claims, Complaints, Supply Chain, Major & Complex Loss, Fraud, Liability, and Recovery.
  • Develop and refine the claims governance framework, ensuring it aligns with our company's strategic vision and values, and resonates with our commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of our claims governance framework, policies, and procedures, and proactively recommend improvements to stay ahead.
  • Champion compliance across the claims operation, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Uphold the FCA Consumer Duty Regulation, identifying and addressing any training needs to ensure our claims operation is not just compliant, but exemplary.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the claims teams, empowering them to excel in governance-related matters such as risk management, quality assurance, audit, and reporting.
  • Deliver insightful reports and updates on claims governance performance to senior management and the board, driving informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in claims management, governance, compliance, or risk management within the insurance industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance claims processes, products, and strict adherence to FCA regulations.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Strategic analytical skills to present information from various sources into actionable insights and reports.
  • Specialised experience in a motor claims environment.
  • Track record of success in developing and implementing Quality Assurance audit programs across claims handling.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Guidance and support expertise for claims teams on governance-related issues.
  • Regular reporting experience to senior management, with a clear and persuasive presentation.
