Senior Technical Claims Handler

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Claims Handler to join our Large Loss Team at Markerstudy Group. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for handling a portfolio of complex motor claims, including high-value bodily injury cases.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex motor claims, applying your technical knowledge and expertise to secure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Investigate and advise on claims involving complex indemnity issues, working closely with internal stakeholders and external experts as required.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, business partners, and external experts to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant case law, regulatory requirements, and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Support the development of junior colleagues, providing guidance and mentoring to help them grow in their roles.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of motor indemnity issues, including complex liability and quantum arguments.
- Experience in managing a portfolio of serious injury claims, including those impacted by the application of Discount Rates, Care Claims, and other heads of claim.
- Good knowledge of medical disciplines and the ability to investigate personal injury claims at all levels of severity.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize workloads effectively.
- Ability to work flexibly in a proactive claims environment, with a strong focus on customer service and compliance.
