This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established consultancy firm in the Southeast. We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to run small, medium, and large-scale projects both autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Establish client requirements and undertake initial cost planning exercises.
  2. Carry out cost planning and value engineering to RIBA design stages and provide informed client cost advice.
  3. Monitor and record project costs.
  4. Identify risks to projects and assess cost variations.
  5. Value completed works and arrange payments in accordance with the contract.
  6. Produce draft project or claim reports under the supervision of senior staff.
  7. Issue notices in accordance with the contract under claim situations.
  8. Liaise and communicate with project or client team members.
  9. Maintain detailed variation and risk register information.
  10. Prepare draft final accounts.
Requirements:
  1. Attend, run, and input into project meetings.
  2. Understand ADR methods.
  3. Have thorough knowledge of construction techniques and principles.
  4. Be adaptable and flexible.
  5. Be willing to work on a secondment role in a client's office or on-site premises.
  6. Have a car driver's license.
